Star Trek: The Next Generation - STTNG crash?
— I'm playing the ST:TNG v5.0 table. I have the LX-7 SP1 rom selected on F6 menu.
For the second time in about 10 boot-ups (so I guess about 30 games total) ... while playing "Q's Challenge" the game locks up and the scoring display is garbled.
Any idea what might be causing that?
Also, in the F6 menu, when you select "Disable GI Effects" what exactly gets disabled? What does GI stand for?
I am running:

... on Windows XP Pro (SP2)

This post would have been relevant about 20 years ago, except it
couldn't have happened for the following reasons, in no particular
order:
- I didn't have Usenet access.
- I didn't know what Usenet was.
- I didn't watch Star Trek: The Next Generation at the time.
- I didn't know what a holodeck was.
- My English writing skills weren't good enough.
- I hadn't yet realized how dangerous the holodeck was.

Star Trek: The Next Generation - Attract Mode Sounds?

Does ST:TNG have attract mode sounds? I think I remember seeing the
option somewhere in the menus and I believe it's turned on but I don't
think I've ever heard them. I'm running LX-7.
Can anyone confirm whether it does have attract mode sounds and what
they are?
