He said that because of his new energy policy, US troops would never AGAIN have to fight in the middle east over oil.

He later clarified by saying that he wasn't refering to the first Iraq invasion.

I thought the first Iraq war was about freeing those freedom loving Kuwaities.

It can't have been about oil.

Because gas is really expensive right now.

So that proves it.

Can you imagine how expensive it would have been if we hadn't gone in and stole all of their oil?

Maybe mccain's crazy spiritual advisor told him this is ok.

Quote: : Maybe mccain's crazy spiritual advisor told him this is ok. I thought you gave up on that one a long time ago... Calling a person that you just met a couple of days before "a spiritual guide" while at some big rally isn't exactly akin to listening to racist sermons for 20 years and then saying "I don't think my church is particularly controversial". You know why Obama originally said that?

Because he believed it.

That's what is scary to me about that guy.

Just like he believed what he said about poor white trash clinging to guns and religion, and only backing off on that statement when he realized that he was clearly in the minority. And in all honestly I could look past all this if I thought he had a clue when it comes to economics and taxes.

I need to stop before I waste another 10 minutes on this post...sorry I didn't mean to hijack this into another Obama hater thread...

[etc.] Its all good, my friend.

That's about what I'd expect from a guy who voted for Bush -- twice!
