Freaking scariest bug I have ever seen! - NewTek Discussions

Http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOXvdfcct8g Big, ugly, scary. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EiZs0MRRsN0&NR=1 Some troops in Iraq fighting against one!

They are so old school... This will kick its butt http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cnFWgDoohzc

Apperantly they are a big time killer for the troops in Iraq, lots of videos of the spiders in buckets to eat or fight whatever they drop in it. I guess it's not a true spider, 10 legs and two eyes.

Good lord, I was expecting some software development joke....

But those beasts are bloody horrible!

A gh! Hate insects.

Hate them. Can't stand them.

Rats and snakes are just cute and interesting, but when I see a grasshopper I flip out completely.

This one is pretty scary too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DsaXfNgQZ4

This would have to be the best spider video out there... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHzdsFiBbFc

Spiders freak me out, unless I've had a few beers then I start playing about with them when they come into the house!

Huge but cuddly http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-j6Nk4iLfSI There was a show on tv a few months ago, some scientists went to a far flung region of the rainforests.

One guy found this new species of spider, he picked it up with his knife, thought better of it and let it go.

It wasn't quite as big as the one in the video above , it was thin, very long legs and a black polished exoskeleton, it was horrifying.

Edit - I think it was from this show The BBC's Expedition Borneo... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCSYGF3kvaA They also showed a millipede type thing in a cave the nutters descended into, they said it was one of the few things that would give even them nightmares, big, deadly poisonous, long legs, lightning fast.

Unfortunately, I can't find anything on it.

I'm occasionally not scared by spiders.

For example if I have to play the hero for my girl.

And since cildren learn from watching I try not to show aversion to spiders when a friends little boy is around.

Interesting, it seems to work - he has not problems with playing with them...

Let's see for how long. Also I'm not scared by all species...

I guess a spider falling on your head in a dark garden shed still freaks most people out... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solifugid They are kinda cute...

Sometimes I feel like building a hammock and watch all those caffeine spiders go...

But then I realize I'm just another caffeine spider myself. Spiders are rather low on my list of scary insects, at least those less of an centimeter in height.

It may have something to do with growing up in a 100 year old house.

Spiders in abundance there. But the grasshoppers....

(I cant even say locust, as the mere word scares me endlessly). Oh, and bumblebees and ladybugs are cute too, no problems with them either.

I HATE spiders!!!!

A few years ago, I was cleaning my floor and realized there was a darker corner behind the clothes washer.

There was a nest of brown recluse in there and they almost got on my hand.

UGGG!!! Also, last year, I went into my garage and saw a large black widow in the corner of the door close to where my hand was.

I'm very paranoid when it comes to spiders.

Even thinking about them makes me feel weird.

Camel spiders do NOT kill people or even attack them.

Do some reading up on them...

They they are not dangerous to humans. Regardless, they definitely give me the creeps.

I can't stand big bugs or millipedes.

If I came across one on a dark night I'd probably pass out.

Spiders are evil.

Scorpions are just as bad. I recently got bitten on the arm in the middle of the night by a spider, never found the spider that did it.

Several weeks later (and of course, several cycles of bedding laundered) I was stripping my bed to wash the sheets and found a nasty looking little f*cker where my feet had been 15 minutes prior.

I have started checking the bed at night. I f*cking hate spiders. Some friends of mine who live just a 1/2 mile from me found a squashed scorpion in their bed when they woke up one morning recently.

That's really odd, as I think in the 30ish years I have lived in this area, I have never seen a scorpion here.

Used to see them in Texas all the time, but not North Florida.
