Do you read comic books? - KryptonSite Message Forums
Yes, I read comics, including Superman and/or Supergirl and/or Action Comics and/or Superman-Batman
Yes, I read comics, but not any Superman comics
I do not read comic books
Yes, I read comics.
Which include Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, X-Men, JLA and several comic book titles that doesn't exist in the U.S.
(however, many of them tends to be a mixture of several American comic books, placed in the same comic).

Did a long time ago.
Don't now.

About 20 years ago I would collect old Superboy comics and read them religiously… I stopped reading for years.
But when Smallville came on, it made me want to start reading again occasionally.
So yeah, once in a while I pick up a modern Superman comic and read it.
Yes, in fact Smallville has rebooted my collecting streak.
Used to be into indies as a kid (Cerebus and Dark Horse stuff) but as a result of watching Smallville I've built up quite a big collection of DC graphic novels (mainly Superman, Batman and Justice League) as well as lot of Alan Moore stories.
Last one I bought was just last weekend: Charley's War - an 80's British run about World War I.
I read back issues of Spider-Man, Batman and Superman and occasionally new issues of Batman & Superman (when a good story is being written).
I buy supergirl, action comics, superman, legion of superheroes, X Men, buffy, angel, nightwing and various mini series
I read all the Superman comics, plus JLA, Legion of Super-Heroes, X-Men, and Avengers.
I quit reading weekly comics years ago, because tracking the storylines between different series just became too much of a chore.
I still enjoy reading graphic novels occasionally (a recent pick being "Marvel: Civil War"), but for the most part I stick with TV and film.
I haven't read a comic book since they were 10 cents a copy.
How much are they now?

Individual comics are around $2 or over these days, while graphic novels can get as high as $30.
A huge "omnibus" of the Doomsday story arc was published by DC Comics, but it's like $80!
Your typical single copy of a Superman book (including Action Comics, Supergirl, Superman/Batman, Justice League) will run $2.99 these days.
Many fans wish the price were lower so that young readers would be encouraged to get into comics more than they are.
But I'm thinking that today's kids, if they're already lured to expensive stuff like video games and MP3 devices, can probably afford a $3-per-issue comic habit if they are so inclined.
Undoubtedly the price for comics has risen faster than inflation allows for, but that just means that the cover price pays for nicer paper, more precise printing, high-tech coloring, and good salaries for the creative people, whereas all these things were dismal when comics last cost a dime (this would have been the early 1960s).

I had 1 comic book about 15 years ago but I forgot what it was about and haven't had another comic book since..
I hope it wasn't Superman #75, because that one should be worth a decent amount if you kept it.
Yeah, I read the comis.
Currently Birds of Prey, Batman Confidential, Spiderman, Trinity, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow/Black Canary, and occasionaly the JLA.
I read Ultimate x-men and thats about it.
But when i hear about an interesting storyline pblushed in graphic novel, i'll read it (like House of M or infinte crisis).

Off and On. But not really Superman.
I bought and read the Superman: Birthright graphic novel.
I bought the Wedding Album.
That was fun and rather girly.
LOL!
I bought a couple of other graphic novels that I haven't read yet.
I read a collection of the first four Superman Comics ever.
That was lots of fun.
I would like to read more Superman but...
It's rather overwhelming.
I've read Neil Gaiman's Sandman Series.
Lot's of Stephen King's Dark Tower series.
Buffverse - Angel and Buffy comics.
I'm trying to read all of Angel but I just read the Buffy ones that I think I'll like.
Not an avid comics reader by any means...
But more of late than I used to.

Are you into Batman at all ginnyfan?

I do, but I'm having a love/hate problem with DC Comics right now...i won't go into detail because it will turn into a rant...i will say this though...the current run in Action Comics is actually making up for the fact that Infinite Crisis (to my dismay) is just not up to the hype....
THANK GOD FOR GEOFF JOHNS!!
The guy actually understands Superman...love this artwork BTW...it's worth MORE than 1,000 words...
