Code Red's 'The Dead Pit' - Horrordvds.com Forum
So I see some 'new' releases by Code Red and I getting pretty excited.
I just got myself 'Sole Survivor' and checked out some trailers on the DVD.
Dead Pit was one of them and I really liked the looks of it.
Has anybody seen it?
I would like some feedback before I buy it.

I saw it years ago on a VHS that my friend picked up previously viewed.
I really liked it.
It's a cool little zombie flick from the director of The Lawnmower Man and Feed.
I believe the version I saw was the edited US cut so I'm looking forward to the uncut version.

I saw it a while back on VHS...I honestly can't remember that much about it (was in a hospital or crazy ward, I remember that much), but I do remember being entertained by it, and it not being TOO cheesy for a zombie flick.
I'll likely be giving it a look once the DVD is released.

I bought the R2 a few years ago.
It was pretty fun.
Nothing major but nothing awful.

My fond memory of the flick was the ultra cool vhs box.
Also I want NIGHTMARE as soon as it is released.

I saw it many, many years ago as a teenager...I seem to remember that for the time it was actually pretty scary with some decent gore...could be that I was only 16 at the time...hard to say, this is one of those titles that I've been looking forward to revisiting for a looong time.
Can't wait for this dvd to see if it's as good as I remember it.
Speaking of nostalgia...it's high time somebody releases a proper version of Video Dead on dvd.
Now that would be awesome!

I remember the VHS box as well, it was awesome.
I was the weird kid that was too scared to rent horror movies, but spent every video store visit checking them out.
Of course, the Dead Pit box with the light-up eyes was always a big deal.

Just found this bit of Dead Pit trivia on the IMDB:
Filmed in the high security wing of Agnew State Hospital, Milpitas CA.
The wing was closed down for many years, had no power, and used to house the most violent and dangerous patients.
Since most of the movie was filmed at night, the empty wing really added a very creepy feel to the process.
I live very close to Milpitas, so this gives me an added interest in seeing The Dead Pit for the first time.
Also plan on picking up Sole Survivor.

I really want Code Red to release HOT MOVES...soon.
I know it's not horror, but I want to see that flick on DVD.
The screenshots looked nice.

Code Red has some seriously good stuff coming out.
Hopefully this time they will be in it for the long haul with BCI.
