Susan writes on her blog:
"I also work with people in homeless shelters and kids from the
poorest areas in the country.
So does my husband.
We both donate
money, clothing, and food, etc.
To help the unfortunate people.
I
myself came from a poor family in the communist regime.
I am also a
board member of Point Hope (www.pointhope.org)."
Finally we learn that Miss Polgar spends a great deal of her time
working with the homeless in shelters.
Who would have thought than when Miss Polgar was 15-16 years old and
already she was an international globetrotter living in a condominium
apartment in Budapest that only the upper-crust could afford and
neither she nor her parents ever had to work a day in their life other
than play chess, that she "came from a poor family".

A search on Google for "point hope board members" lists five board
members for Point Hope, none of whom are named Susan Polgar or Paul
Truong.

That picture on the website looks amazingly like a picture of a PTA
meeting at the school my six-year-old daughter attends in the Bronx.
http://www.pointhope.org/atf/cf/%7Be...tingchance.gif
I am not joking.
I live in an African neighborhood in the Bronx and
the parents of about half the kids in my daughter's school PS199 were
born in Africa.
They bring their kids to school dressed exactly like
that.
Perhaps Miss Polgar should send us some money.

The Point Hope web site also links to Delilah, the radio talk show host
who is a is pictured with Ms.
Polgar on her SPF web site.
IIRC, Delilah
is a friend of Frank Niro, former USCF ED and board member of the SPF
foundation.
I have done a Guidestar search for information on Point Hope Foundation
and have come up with no listing for this foundation.
There is also no
listing for the Point Hope Foundation with the Washington State
Secretary of State.
A search of the IRS listings of qualified non-profit organization comes
up with NO listing for Point Hope Foundation.
http://www.irs.gov/app/pub-78/
This will be an interesting matter for further research.
Stay tuned.

I have found a listing of Point Hope Foundation board members at
http://www.pointhope.org/site/c.fdKIIONoEmG/b.4323873/
This page does list Ms.
Polgar as a board member since 2006.
However, I have found the Form 990 for Pointhope, Inc.
(apparently the
legal name of this foundation) which is a 501 (c) 3 foundation.
The
latest 990 filing covering the period July 1, 2006 through July 1,2007
does not list Ms.
Polgar as a director.
The foundation appears to be doing good work.
It is, however, unclear
what Ms.
Polgar's involvement is and what hands on experience she has
working with the homeless.
Clearly, she does not understand the root
causes of homelessness.

See the slags rip into support for the homeless!
Who we got as contributors
to this?
Sam Sloan, Brian Lafferty and Neil Brennan.
"Clearly she does not understand..." and neither do I understand why this
continuous McCarthyism should continue without challenge to their open
mockery of things they discovered today!
What a sick crew these people comprise.

Of course you fail to understand, Phil.
Nothing new in that.
Ms.
Polgar made rather absurd statements on her blog in replying to someone
who has apparently worked with homeless people for in excess of 20
years.
Ms. Polgar hasn't a clue as to the varied causes of homelessness
in the US and would like to believe, and no doubt does, that
homelessness is the result of not working hard enough.
It's much more
complex than that simplistic fantasy.
Of course, none of this is
understandable to you.
