It's HILARIOUS listening to the BEEB commentators trying to think of something to say during the Swim Marathon.
You can actually hear Stuart Storey's brain scramblin around looking for a point to make or a senstence to utter.
Who thought to match Stuart Storey with the Swimmer guy?
It's hilarious listening to him pretend that he knows anything about it!!?

This actually happened to Little AYS a couple of weeks ago in an open water event.
She swam a Z instead of an I.

Kids in sport can be so unintentionally hilarious.
One of the kids who came last in Sports day, was really upset, so I said;
"Well done Jade, you were the best at being last, no one else could do it, but you could...well DONE"...She gives me this look, as if to say, I don't actually believe you, but I'm gonna take it...and runs over to approaching mother shouting, "MAMM , I came LAAAST "- she was 5, and with that I had ruined that childs competetive spirit!

Well, she's actually 16 but inexperienced in open water swimming and apparently the course wasn't well marked.
I'm watching the 10k online, and I see that this course is basically just alongside the shore.
It's so shallow where the swimmers are you can practically see sand and rocks below the water right next to where they're swimming.
I think this is being held in the rowing venue.

Apparently it's also got lane lines marked at the bottom, because of the rowing course!
So, makes it a lot easier and CRAZY stat- it's WARMER in the lake than it was in the pool!

CBC is so happy that we got medals today that they're replaying those events over and over and over again....
