NFL Forum :: - A Real Fantast Draft - #32 Overall
For fun, let's say after some weird CBA agreements, the NFL somehow agrees to a draft where teams can pick 1 player from any team to join their team, in a draft format.
Perhaps to determine the best players at a position and come up with a new format for paying players.
All players are eligible, all teams pick only once.
-Don't make age a big factor.
-I'm being as accurate as I can with who I list as options.
-This is not team specific.
-Base your selection on who'd have the most impact for any team, talent levels and players you could build a scheme around.
-I have a scripted, predetermined list of who comes available to the polls.
I've been making slight changes based on majority votes and percieved forum-wide ratings.
Please don't complain.
Your vote will determine who gets selected and who remains on the "board" for the next selection.

Justin Tuck. I'm done explaining why i've picked him the last six times

Went for Ray Lewis, if age isn't meant to be a big factor he probably should have gone before Willis.
I still can't believe that Jason Taylor didn't get a sniff at this poll.

I honestly didn't think he'd get much love except take a vote or two away from another player.
I tried to put in everyone who's had a lot of votes but just never enough to win the poll.

I'll take a young franchise LT in Jason Peters.

Ummmm justin tuck anyone?
I mean, hello!!

Odds are I will be the minority here, but give me Haloti Ngata.
Arguably the best 3-4 DE in the game, Ngata offers skills from that position as well as the ability to move to NT and could be very effective on the inside in a 4-3 scheme.
Ngata is a big reason why the Ravens are so good against the run and he can also get some pressure and collapse the pocket.
An excellent blend of size and athletic ability, Ngata is a great piece to build a defense around.

I mean, hello!! I would honestly have to see him do what he's done now that he is not the 3rd best DE on his own team to justify taking him this early.
A year from now this could be a steal though.

How is Kerry Rhodes not gone yet?
My vote goes to him.
|
 |
|
Cast those final ballots!
|
 |
Peters for the fifth time.
Franchise LT.

I went for Urlacher over Ngata based on Ngata's being mainly a two-down run stuffer and Urlacher imo being the best mlb in the game who can make a play on any down and distance.

Urlacher is a little overrated and also has an injury, so Tatupu is easily the best MLB in the league, but besides that I voted Kerry Rhodes, probably the best Safety in the league right now.
