NFL Forum :: - Kings outbid Clippers to keep Udrih

Http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3469582 Five year deal for him.

It was no secret the Clippers were trying to land Udrih.

Oh well. Ervin Santana (Pre-Sig): 6-0, 2.02 ERA, 0.88 WHIP, .193 BAA, 49.0 IP, 38 K, 9 BB Ervin Santana (Post-Sig): 3-3, 4.40 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, .241 BAA, 59.1 IP, 61 K, 19 BB

Great re-signing.

Guy has an incredible amount of potential.

Great move by the Kings, he really stepped up and became a leader for them last year and was ultimately the reason why Bibby was so expendable.

If he can continue to improve at distributing the ball and he should with the addition of Jason Thompson in the frontcourt and the increased playing time of Spencer Hawes;

He has the chance to become one of the better PG's in the NBA. Beno Udrih / Sean Singletary / Anthony Johnson? Kevin Martin / Francisco Garcia / Ron Artest / John Salmons / Patrick Ewing Jr. Jason Thompson / Mikki Moore / Shareef Abdur-Rahim / Kenny Thomas Brad Miller / Spencer Hawes / Shelden Williams Depending on how they handle Artest and if they move him (or not) & for what;

We could be looking at a 7 or 8 seed.

Reggie Theus is one of the better coaches in the league, in my opinion, which is why I wouldn't be surprised to see them make some strides this next season.

However, it will be tough for them in the Western Conference and especially playing in the Pacific Division along with the Lakers, Warriors, Suns, and the improved Clippers.

Guess clippers will move on to baron davis

Quote: : guess clippers will move on to baron davis Yea, I like Udrih, but I'd rather have Davis and Livingston.

I just hope we get Davis, if not we have to hope Livingston is back to normal assuming he comes back which seems most likely.

Excellent re-signing.

He played well last season, and I don't think he's even come close to peaking yet.

Great signing for them. They're still a good 3-4 years away from competing in the West though.

Guy has an incredible amount of potential. No crap when we had him we didnt give him much of a chance. We sure do know how to pick some great European point guards though

It's an ok signing, I've always believe Udrih has been overrated by people who know basketball, but Jason Thompson and Spencer Hawes is going to be a hell of a frontcourt in a couple years.

If this story ends with Baron Davis joining Elton Brand in LA, it'll be one of the better non-signings in recent times.

I really don't know much about this guy...

But what I have read from you guys, looks like he's studly... Is that correct?
