ITV boss considers 'Blind Date' return - Football Forums
ITV's Director of Television Peter Fincham is hoping to bring back Blind Date next year, according to a report.
The dating game show will reportedly be made by Simon Cowell's Syco production company - as the talent show judge recently bought a share in the rights of the programme.
An ITV source told The Sun: "We were offered another dating show, but Peter thinks Blind Date is one of the most iconic ITV shows of all time.
It's early days, but it's looking very hopeful."
Another source added that the show would be revamped, incorporating "all the elements of Blind Date plus the best bits of Britain's Got Talent and X Factor".
Blind Date was last seen on ITV in 2003.
The show was axed after host Cilla Black decided to quit.

It caters for the lowest common denominator.

I see. But I just don't know who would be interested in Blind Date.
It literally baffles me.

Television is crap these days.
Especially when you have this along with Big B(r)other etc.

The same people who watch Big Brother?
People who are entertained by excruciatingly badly written 'ad libs' from spotty cretins who would otherwise be asking if you want fries with that?
