Epilepsy Foundation eCommunities Forums - How did you know you were pregnant?
Okay, I promise that I'm not pregnant.
So I'm not asking this to compare what may be going on, this is just curiosity based on a group conversation over lunch this week.
I've never been pregnant but most women in our office has been, and the discussion lasted a very long time.
From craving bubble gum to smelling fresh-baked pie, I played no part except to wonder what else was out there.

I think pregnancy I think morning sickness and missed periods.
I've never had the experience.

The first time I was pregnant I knew a couple of weeks before my periods were due.
I don't know how.
I just knew. The second time I was pregnant.
We didn't find the sex out but somehow I knew she was a girl.
I nearly went so far as to paint the nursery pink.
I managed to stop myself just incase I was wrong.
I don't know how I knew these things but I felt so strongly that I was right and both times I was correct.

Our unborn son was a slight surprise, we knew we were going to try but not so quickly.
I craved peanut butter, and even smelled it sometimes.
It made me suspicious and Jacob wonder what had changed because normally he is the one who builds our peanut butter supply and makes it disappear.
I never expected to like peanut butter for any reason.

Morning sickness, definitely!

With the first two, I "knew" when I conceived and #1, my daughter was a surprise.
It was weird.
This last time, I had all the signs, exhausted (slept for 2-3 hours in the mid-morning), bloat, great skin...didn't put it together until my 2 months along.
Duh! I'm a dope. No food issues.
No nausea. Didn't have that with the other two either.

I couldn't tolerate the smell of my husband's strawberry shampoo and I wanted to eat paper.
I refrained from doing so, thank goodness!
My mouth would water around computer paper and some books.

LMAO, Donna!
Would that have been recycling?
You would have been the greenest person I know!

 |
|
LOL, Nina! My dh would hand me the mail and say "here's your lunch!"

I had morning, noon and night sickness.
