Not that I'm defending her, but the next morning she explained the mishap on the Ryan Seacrest radio show.
She and Ryan both explained that it was because the producers kept changing the order of events in the show without warning the judges.
Paula was caught offguard and gave her review based on hearing Jason Castro during rehearsal earlier that afternoon.
She should still lay off the sauce, but that's a different story.
