VMA Staff Prepping for Britney Spears to 'Gimme More' - BritneyBoards.org
LOS ANGELES Despite denials from manager Larry Rudolph that Britney Spears will be "performing" at the Video Music Awards this weekend, whispers are that she is still making an appearance as a presenter in the highly anticipated awards show.
We're told that everyone from the production crew to wardrobe are preparing for the pop princess to make a comeback, although nobody from MTV would officially confirm.
Whats interesting is that an inside source said Britney has her own dressing room.
Either the gal is getting super-special treatment or she will do a little more than simply hand out an award.
The pop princess has also RSVPd for 944 Magazines MTV VMA pre-party to be held at Hollywood hotspot Kress on Wednesday.
So if Miss Spears does show that will mark her first officially scheduled party appearance since she launched Las Vegas club LAX exactly one year ago.

This week will be full of rumors and speculation over Britney's VMA appearance.
Much like the last week or two, only there will be even more press about it...if that's possible.
Either way, take everything with a grain of salt and wait for next Sunday.

I think most people realize and know that there won't be a performance unless it is being kept very private and confidential and we all know that nothing Britney related is ever kept under wraps anymore.
Plus, MTV would be promoting the crap out of a comeback Britney performance.
I would be very happy with her just presenting and showing up on the red carpet.

Thats not true.
So many surprising things have come up and how its a fact that Britney can sneak away on vacations without the papz finding out until later...I think theres a good chance she'll appear.
50/50 chance she'll perform.

I dont know why you guys are still arguing over whether she'll be there or not.
Carlos already said that he KNOWS she'll be there, and since he's always been right in the past i'm not sure why i shouldn't trust in his words...

I trust Carlos since he is a reliable source.
On top of that, several entertainment news sources are reporting (whether they're reliable or not) that Britney will be showing up.
It's really not up for debate anymore.
What is up for debate however, is how she will be involved in the show (presenting, performing, etc.).

i personally think that she WILL perform.
Too many rumors, too much controversy.
She HAS to. if she does NOT perform she'll do definetely MORE than just presenting...
But trust me - whatever it is that she's planning...

Yea, that's true, but I mean like the Blackout demos leaking and last year how it came out about the performance and stuff.
Unless she has been secretly rehearsing in her house or something, I doubt she will perform.
I think she has learned her lesson from last year.
I think we all know now that there is a great chance she will show up, between Carlos telling us about it and all these articles about it.
