What's the Best.... - Belizeans.com Forums

You'd like to share.

It can be the best diet/exercise program that works for you, the best mascara, best restaurant for Belize food, best moisturizer, best place to sneak a quickie, etc. We're always looking out for things that are proven to work so I thought it would be pretty cool to start a "Best of" list. I'll go first - instead of using foundation/concealer/powder which were 3 different products, now i'm soooo loving Prescriptive mineral foundation one brush and I'm good to go.

It's light, natural, and no touching up during the day required. I also swear by the at-home microdermabrasion combo of the neutrogena kit and oil of olay skin polisher.

I read somewhere that 10 days of use = one medical dermabrasion session.

Your skin really feels soft after even one session. So what have you found that's the best and you'd like to share?

This is an awesome idea!!!

Let me contribute!! best for facial skincare: proactiv!!

I have been using this for almost 4 years, and my skin is sooo radiant!! best tea: kaleisia!!

I love how they have an AMAZING array of teas and sweets made from the teas!!!

And their customer service is top-notch!! that's all i have for now.

I will be adding more when i discover new stuff!!

I just bought proactiv for my daughter to use - her hormones are starting to kick in and she's starting to show concern about her skin.

She cleared up really quickly but i'm not sure if it's solely due to proactiv or some other changes we've made.

Quite a few parents of tweens are buying proactiv for their daughters and swear by the positive results. Best moisturizer I've found with spf 30 that is not oily/greasy is La Roche.

I heard they have an even higher spf available. Has anyone used those non-liquid nail polish?

I think it's a strip you place on your nails.

For skin care i use to use proactiv but felt it wasn't doing what it was suppose to...mind you my skin wasn't bad just the really fine bumps...so i switched and now use Olay total effects the 7 in 1 anti agng salicylic acid acne cleanser...love this stuff... here's what it does for you through cleansing gentle exfoliation tone enhancement nourishing moisturiztion pore appearance refinement line appearance minimization (never too young to start lol) and texture refinement Love this stuff...my friends laugh cause i use stuff to help with aging when i have no signs and i tell them that's why lol... I highly recomend it...and it's very inexpensive only 6 or so bucks at walmart....I however love the whole Olay line...I have the moisturizor...eye cream and such....

Yes, i had a severe case of acne when i started college.

It was so bad!!!!

I was at the dermatologist almost every month, but to no avail i mean, the medication alone messed up my face!!

I really thought there was nothing that could help me.

It was so bad that random strangers thought i was ill or something.

And then, my mother suggested proactiv in the christmas of 2004.

At that point, i really had nothing to loose.

I was so happy to get it in the mail!!

And in less than a week, i saw results!!!!

I still get breakouts, but its only one breakout per year.

I swear on their refining clay and blemish lightner.

Now, my skin is so radiant and soft that people still think i am in my teens (but then again, its probably because of my genes, my eating habits, workout regime and overall view of life).

Proactiv has helped me out so much that i am honestly feel that i don't need make-up. i do see there are other systems similar to proactiv that i was curious about.

Especially, the customized neutrogena version which i think is ingenious!

The only reason i haven't tested my curiosity is because proactiv works for me.

I do hear that dr.murad version works better for others. i hear ya about its never starting early to reduce fine lines!!

I use the spf 30 sunscreen by proactiv, but i am kinda curious about other great spf sunblocks (especially ones that i can carry in really small packs during beach time and carnival...a diva must never take a break!!).

To also help me ward off damaging rays from my face, i wear sunglasses and a hat (the latter mostly while playing mas). i do hear olay works wonders, as well!!

I always have fun going through walmart, target, walgreens, etc in their health and beauty ailses because there are so many awesome products at great prices!! for example, i just discovered black soap!!

There's something exotic about bathing with black soap because your rarely see black soap!!

The smell is divine!!

I have also discovred jergens' 3 in 1 moisturizer (its the one that apparently keeps your skin moisturized for 24 hours).

I have to say that i am very impressed, and i will be using this in the cooler months.

Bzegirl, i haven't heard of anyone trying the non-liquid nail polish.

When you try it, please let us know how you like/dislike it.

I'm still waiting to hear which is the the best laundry detergent.

Y'know the one that really make your whites - white, and your colors - bright.

Seems to me, the jury is still out on this one.

Best Moisturizer: AMBI...it's real cheap,"light weight, evens skin tone & texture" and along with that you can buy it at your local drugstore.

I was using the estee lauder one but it was too oily and neutrogena clogged my pores.

I'll think give the la roche a try. Best Makeup: MAC...sorry ima MAC fan...i saw the prescriptive commercials but was a bit skeptical i guess it does work. Best Mascara: Hails from the Two Faced Line...no clumps and you don't end up w/ raccoon eyes.

Try to find a mascara that contain mami. Best Nail Polish: I like OPI...theres a shade called Belize it or Not!...I also like Rimmel + minerals in black satin. Best straightener/ hair appliances: Definitely the CHI brand. Best eyeshadow/primer: Bobbi Brown/Urban decay..MAC is ok. Best detergent: Dreft or Tide w/ Febreeze...just because I like the smell.

I don't think that Oxy clean is all that great. Best Diet: Keeping track of everything that you eat....try fitday.com...I swear by it.

You can keep track of your food intake and the calories that you burn, track goals, monitor your nutrition.

I don't think that Oxy clean is all that great.. But does it make your whites - white and your colors bright?

But I do like the smell of febreeze so maybe it's a contender.

Clorox clean- up cleaner, the best for kitchen and bathroom, it doesn't get any better.

Oh yea cayogial - chi is the way to go.

Love love it. :) Do you use the MAC mineral make-up?

The only thing MAC i use is their lipstick and only because i was looking for a particular color and they had a matte version that i wanted.

Otherwise, i don't have a loyalty brand with lipsticks.

On and best workouts: any type of aerobic exercise that you enjoy and do for at least 30 minutes 3 times a week.

Also, i really like to spice up my workouts.

I do circuit training involving running and biking at least 30 minutes 4-6 times a week.

I am also looking to spice up my workouts with either a bootcamp class at the gym or samba class once a week!

Yes, ambi makes great products! i will have to try that nailpolish.

What kind of a shade is it? i will give fitday.com a try.

I like self.com because they dispense great tips on maintaining a healthy weight!

Best Body Wash - Aveeno ( green bottle top one) Best lotion - Palmers Shea Butter or Cocoa Butter Best Eyeshadow- Urban Decay and Mac Best Face System- Pro Activ hands down, been using it for 8 years Best Department Store- Nordstroms..

I LOVE this store Best Diet- South Beach!

Easiest Diet I ever did, and you get to EAT real FOOD Best Hair Conditioner - Nexxus Humectress , & ORS Pak mixed with olive & coconut oil Super shiney Best Nail Polish- Essie & O.P.I. Best Mascara- Fabulash by Revlon ( sister *see cheap* version of Lancome Hypnose) Best Toothpaste- Arm & Hammer Baking Soda and Peroxide

I have to second that the best nail polish is essie.

I find that my pedis last a whole month and a half with essie.

The colors are so rich when painted on!
