Www.bbc.co.uk/languages If your tastes run to more exotic tongues go to www.freelanguage.org and you'll be directed to sites to learn everything from Afrikanns to Luxembourgish and it's all free. Thank you Reader's Digest for this great information!

As soon as I have more time, I have got to check this out.

I want to learn Arabic next.

Thanks! I'm interested in Greek.

We have a big community here, and I am often in contact with the older ppl at work.

I know the word "Thea" which is a female term of respect, as well as the word for thankyou.

And that is all. But it is amazing the response you get if you try yes?

I want to learn a few languages....

Thanks for the great info!!

Yup me too. Most of my former lab partners when I was doing my pre-reqs were Palestinian.

Unfortunately the Arabic I do know from them is very naughty and and I apparently have a "Ramallah" accent with what I can say hahaha.

I know stuff that roughly translates into "no way you female /male donkey that isn't the answer." I would like to learn to speak and read classical Arabic because there are poems I would like to read in their original language.

Strangely enough, whatever prayers and religious expressions I know in Arabic, I learned over here in the States.

I had to go to Israel to learn how insult someone's mother and to invite a person, in either gender, to lick a certain portion of my anatomy. I'd like to learn how to converse politely.

I will be perfectly able to come up with my own rude remarks once I have the rest of the language down.

Thank you for the info!

I need to brush up on my spanish for work.

This will be very helpful!
