Chris Duhon to visit Magic today; 7 teams, including Orlando, c... - Topix
How are we not going after Mickael Pietrus?
|
 |
Duhon? He's another undersized guard.
I guess Jameer needs someone to look up to.
|
 |
What we need now is Maggetti.
Forget about the rest of the free agents.
|
 |
|
No no...Maggette wont come here for MLE....magic fans need to stop dreaming
we need to get Pietrus and Kurt Thomas and we are set!!
|
 |
Ever so slowly the Magic are trying to filter in Duke grads.
You all know the ones...
JJ, Chris Duhon and most likely both picks next year will be Dukies.
The Magic may have at last awakened and realized that ignorance isn't bliss!
They need some intelligence on the team, and desperately need any
one in the world with an IQ over 86 to be GM & Coach.
GO DUKIES...
Duhon on the break drives and dishes to JJ on the wing...*swish* that 3 pointer is like a layup to that kid!
:)

6'1 isn't undersized for a point guard.
Get real man and stop complaining about nothing.

 |
Hmmm, let's see Kidd 6'4", Chris Paul 6'3", Rondo 6'3", Billups 6'4", Deron Williams 6'4" almost 5", Baron Davis 6'3" and all of them are huge and can post up Jameer and Duhon at the same time.
6'1" may not be undersized for a midget like you, Forrest Trump, but being 6"1" and 175 is small for the NBA.
Duhon is fast, that's why he's in the NBA.
So keep quiet gnome.

I agree with bringing in Kurt Thomas, that would allow DH some rooom to operate in the post.
He is a very underrated in the NBA....

I think Orlando is in the running for CM if they want to be, since the Clips just spent all of their money on B.
Davis and only Memphis and Philly have more than the MLE that we have.
They have other players that they are targeting so we are only competeing against the Celtics and I have heard the Spurs.
CM would be fighting for PT in Boston with Allen and the MLE is less there because of the 5.3% state income tax.
Here he is the guaranteed starter, makes more $, on a young team, in the east, where his parents live.
JN/CM/HT/RL/DH is a strong core.

The New NBA "anointed one" Chris Paul is barely 5'9"...
He's a punk, always has been and a wannabe thug.
His Fav sport is sneaking up behind the other teams players and smacking them with his fist in the Gonads.
Remember the saying "the paint is my house?", well did anyone notice that not one big man in the playoffs knocked Paul on his a*s*s one time.
He is a protected brother!
:)

:) I saw CP3 in South Beach and he is every inch of 6'3.
What are you doing over there, buddy?

First of all Paul is 6'0, Kidd and Williams you got that right but that's obvious, Rondo is 6'1, and Billups is 6'3.
Get your facts straight first before posting.
You now lost all credibility and you're really not worth my time.
Have a nice one looking dumb and getting exposed.

It's just been reported the Knicks are offering Duhon 2yr contact for around 7 mil or so
|
 |
Bottom line, who gives a crap how tall Duhon is..
He SUCKS. He doesn't even start for the sorry Bulls, yet he is supposed to be a piece to get us "over the hump"..
BS!! We don't need more role players, we need to trade some of our role players for a legitimate starter.
Even if we can't get Maggette with our MLE, there is no reason that we can't work out a sign and trade for him.
Wait, there is one reason, no other team wants JJ or Bogans or Cook.
So throw Turk in there and lets roll.
The only reason I say that is b/c Turk is going to opt out after this year and is gonna leave for nothing.
He's just too underpaid right now.
So we mine as well get something for him while we still can.
Then we can split our MLE with a proven big(Kurt Thomas) and a defensive PG(Dooling)
|
 |
Exactly. Also, let's explore the interest of the Nuggets in Carlos Arroyo.
May be work a deal with them and offer Arroyo and another guard (J.J.
Included) for a big man who can help Dwight in the paint rebounding and playing defense, assuming they have someone that is worth it.
Or work a three-team deal between Denver, Orlando and somebody else.
Whatever is done, do it right, please.

Let them be stupid, like always.
We need players like Pietrus, Maggette and/or a big, proven power forward who can rebound, defend and at least contribute with 15 points per game.

I'm looking at the NBA upper deck trading cards and those are the listed heights.
If they are wrong than I apologize about the wrong heights, BUT, that's not the point I was trying to make.
The point is Duhon is undersized compared to the premier point guards in the league.
The only point guard that is undersized and is effective is Tony Parker(Iverson is not a point guard).
We saw it last year and this year, Nelson couldn't get it done against an injured Billups or even his backup Stuckey, another big point guard.
|
 |
Wait, I thought we needed a PF so Lewis could move to SG.
All I heard last year is that he is playing out of position...
|
 |
It was believed that Golden State guard/forward Mickael Pietrus was a player the Magic would target.
But NBA sources close to Pietrus' camp said late Tuesday afternoon that they were surprised that the Magic were not among eight teams that had called to show interest.
I think I'd wait on a guy with a 5yr career of 9 ppg, 3 rpg, 1 stl, 1 blk - and small at 6'6 for a forward.
With the Magic he would need to be switched to SG to get any minutes

He plays defense!!!!
A cheaper version of Dooling I think.
I wonder if the Clippers might be interested in Reddick et al.
For Maggette?
