boot camp question about resizing the partition - Mac Forums

Can you resize the windows XP partition in boot camp

Quote: : Can you resize the windows XP partition in boot camp Yes, you can.

Here's how: First, you need third party software to copy your Boot Camp partition to an image file = "WinClone".

Read and download from here: http://twocanoes.com/winclone/ Next, use the Boot Camp assistant from OS X to remove the Boot Camp partition.

Re-create it with your new specified size.

Use WinClone to restore your original Boot Camp installation. NOTE: You can not resize a FAT-32 partition to make it smaller.

And, resizing FAT-32 is not really safe.

Make sure your partition is formatted to NTFS.

You can use the Windows disk administrator tool to change your drive from FAT-32 to NTFS if necessary. Regards.

Thanks
