Hahahaha The number of GCSE's a person has, has **** all to do with someone appearing in a videogame or their ability to act.
There are plenty of people that don't have qualifications that are quite intelligent.
I also know a lot of people who apperently had *potential*, went to University ect and are now working in places like Burger King.

Anway back to the point.
I'm merely commenting the lack of any education acting related or otherwise.
I'm pretty sure that the majority of Britain's best actors have West End experience or have been to a Royal Academy.
I'm sure we'll see when the game is released the quality of the performance she gives.

Well, I personally do not judge a person because of "credentials, degrees, diplomas, etc." or the lack there of.
Seems quite condescending to me to judge others that way.
I'm not saying she can act, but just because she lacks certain credentials doesn't mean she's unintelligent.
Add to that, since when has the acting in any C&C game been very good, regardless of who the actor was?
Besides, whether she can act or not, she's apparently smart enough to be included in a major video game and I'm sure she is getting paid pretty well to do so.

Getting your point across is fine but the way you said it was insulting.
You sounded like one these Uni guys that think they are above everyone else.
This country wasn't built by student sponges.
I'm not saying that she will put on a good performance, i'm just saying that it isn't always right to judge a persons intelligence on a piece of paper.
Also you don't need GCSEs to act in the West End.
I'm sure it helps a lot but it isn't completely needed.

Ah yes that's right, Red Alert is about shallower casting, giving main roles to dim blondes with legs, yes, this is indeed a great day for gamers as it will certain encourages other developers to saturate their FMVs with actors who possess talent.
This title certainly isn't targeted for an audience of pubescent boys, no way, and it's choice in actors isn't as insulting as Star Trek : Enterprise, not a chance.
All us males are shallow right?
We don't want story, we just want some chick who looks HOT!

Why, trades are just as important, things like contruction, joinery, engineering, baking, ect, also the Police Force, Military, Fire Brigade ect.
Yeah you can get qualifications for those things but you don't need to go to university to get them Even farming and agriculture are just as important if not more so.
In the UK most of the people i know who go to university end up working in Tesco stacking shelves or at McDonalds/Burger King.
And while at Uni they get paid to by the tax payer to waste their time boozing ect and taking gap years.
Don't talk to me about Economics i hear enough about at home (directly descened from Adam Smith).

I agree John, but they probably thought that because she was in Hollyoaks she would be good at acting.
EA probably never even watched an episode to see the skills they were getting.
It was really funny in C&C 3 TW/KW that Joe Kucan (Kane) out acted all the famous people they had in it.

I remember the first Red Alert...
Wish this Red Alert was up to that standard...
Judging by the Video's it's clearly not impressive in any way..
Not even graphically or animation wise...
Weird funny looking units...not classy stuff @ all..
But u never know..
Plus this Babe Business isn't a great sign either..

I think the naval aspect of the game is pretty impressive, add to that the transforming units that can turn form aircraft to ground units or the ships that can come onto land.
Should add a lot to the shallow tactically, comsidering how shallow C&C 3 was, all about speed and rushing.

I'm going to ignore the ridiculous flamebait but I cant let the idea that you are related to the one the most influential economists of all time yet make outlandish statements about the make up of the UK economy, things have changed a lot from Smith's time.

I agree that games shouldn't be popularised with glamour models if its part of a plan to try and force the games onto mass market ( though RA is already very over the top and cheesy anyway ), but otherwise should be fine.
edit: John makes a good point, games shouldn't be seen as a cheap medium.
