A Tip For A Newbie... - Drift.com: Sponsored by www.DriftAttack.tv

I've Been Driving since i was 14 years old, and i been doing short drag for about the same amount of time. But i have always rely wanted to learn to drift. Currently i have a stock 2.8L V6 mercedes C280 from 1999, but i think it will be changed soon. I can Get my hands on a Stock 350z for a couple of hours if needed. Can You Guys give me any tips to start me off ??

O yeah i forgot to say Please

Start with SEARCHING.

NO I'm not trying to be an a$$ but for real search every piece of drift info you can find.

Watch as much as you can.

Watch how the car starts a drift listen to the engine in the drift for the rev control the driver has over the car watch the tires and notice when and why the driver pulls the e-brake in mid slide all this stuff goes hand in hand when you on the track know the power and speed you want when entering a drift.

We can tell you all day long to do it this way or do this to make it work like that but in the end your the one thats gonna go do these things.

I was told many many times to drit with both hand on the wheel, to this day I only drift with my left hand on the wheel...

Thats just how I drive "its me".

Create your own style and use what you learn and are told by others to make you the drifter you want to be. And Welcome To The Boards
