Photoshop/Premiere CS3 or Elements? : Open Talk Forum: Digital Photography Review

Currently have Photoshop 7.0 and Premiere 6.5, and Encore DVD 1.0.

I take pictures, edit them, make adjustments, resize for website and blog, and even do some graphic and logo design (like for my DVD covers) Photoshop/Imageready has been great for this. I also do video editing, fairly basic, but complicated enough that I'm not sure Elements will have the capabilities I need, but then again I've never tried the newer Elements versions.

Also author DVDs of the videos I make. Only reason I'm even considering the upgrade is that this will be the last chance I can at the upgrade prices.

I'm told once CS4 rolls out, I won't be able to. Any thoughts? -- Great pictures are taken with the mind...the problem lies in getting the dang camera to take the same picture!

Seeing as how you can download trial versions of the software why don't you download the trial versions of elements and see if it will suit your needs. -- The greatest of mankind's criminals are those who delude themselves into thinking they have done 'the right thing.' - Rayna Butler
