Anybody up for throwing a good condition Canon EF 35mm F/2 on ebay?: Canon SLR Lens Talk Forum: Digital Photography Review
I've been watching the Canon EF 35mm F/2 on ebay for a while, and I think I'm finally going to pull the trigger on it, but now there is a shortage of them!
I was hopping to get one while that ebay 10% coupon was out, but there is only one on ebay, and it has 1 day left and is already to $172 + $15 shipping.
There is another buy it now at some $260, more than I can buy it online new for.
So if anyone has been thinking about listing their Canon EF 35mm F/2, now's the time!
:)

I sold my 35mm f/2 on craigslist for $190 cash.
You often get lower prices at CL than ebay if you consider these factors:
1.
You can check out the lens before you buy it in CL
2.
No shipping charge
3.
No waiting for the lens to ship.
The problem with ebay is that it is very difficult to successfully bid on a 35mm f/2 without paying a good $180-$200 premium for it.
By the time you add the $10-$20 shipping charge, you're better off buying it locally.

Hey,
The problem is I live in Gainesville, FL, a relatively small town with the nearest big cities being 1-2 hours away.
I checked Graig's list for every florida listing, and there are currently no 35mm F2s on there.
:(
In fact, there are very few camera listings at all!
I may have to put a want to buy ad up, or just shoot for ebay and wait it out.
Thanks

Same here.
A smaller town provides little in the way of photo gear on craig's.
I paid full retail minus the MS rebate for my 35 mm f/2 and it's quickly become my favorite crop lens.
Sharp!

Scroll down a bit as there are 2 one new - and there is a used 35mm/f2 - depending on how much you want to pay.
KEH is a reputable dealer with a 14 day return policy on used items and 90 day warranty.

That is really too bad.
If I still had the 35mm f/2, I would have sold it to you or another fellow DPR member for enjoyment.
For what it is worth.
I rarely used my 35mm f/2 after I bought the tamron 17-50 f/2.8 lens.
Since you have the Tammy, I doubt you really NEED a 35mm f/2.
Best of luck in find the lens :)
