Big Brother: Big Brother may be axed would you miss it?
In todays papers they say that there may not be anymore Big Brother Series as Channel 4 are having to make cutbacks due to the credit crunch.
The viewing figures are down, voting revenue is down, they are not making as much out of advertising so has a way of saving money Big Brother maybe axed, what do you think of this idea, will you miss it, do you want another BB series.

I am a big fan of Big Brother, although I think the last few series have not been as good and this years was really bad.
I would like at least one more series to see if they can produce something special for the 10th Series, but it would need to change the selection process of th housemates and go for less wannabe housemates, also make the house more interesting some 3 day 24hours a day tasks, this years was a bit dull and became the Rex and Nicole Show and it needs to concentrate on everyone.
BB also need to stop manipulating the viewers and housemates to sort their game plan and let it occur naturally.
If BB is going to finish let it go out on a high bring back the previous winners and have a special winners series.

Aww, I wanted to apply for next year too (atill cant find a form - I suppose this is why?).
I really enjoyed watching it though and would miss it...
Then again if it was cancelled at least we wouldn't speand about two days of accumulated time watching one series!

But what else can we do next summer, its like therapy being able to have a good moan about the housemates and starts lots of lively posts on here as well.
It will be a long summer especially if the weather is bad like this year.

Trudy, I totally agree with everything you have said.
I used to watch BB 24/7 but got bored with the Rex and Nicole show this year and lost interest after a while, but I do think I would miss it as it is part of my summer viewing!!!!

This is going to sound really Lame but I would rather not have a BB if we are going to be made to watch another one like this years.
I was SOO upset and Soo angry about Rex and Nicole, not to mention Davina, that I have actually decided that I would rather not have another series.
Chanel 4 made so many predetermined incidents occur, that I felt as if the viewers were just that Only viewers.
It did not feal as if we had any say in what the outcome was.
It was a very disappointing BB.
And even after my favourite won, they had to have the last say by demoralising and ridiculing her on BBBM.
The whole thing has left a very bad taste in my mouth, and I do not know if the True BB fans will ever be as loyal again.
BBBM was disgusting, Whilst BBLBs presenters were appaulingly bad.
Its a long way from the previous BBs.
And I for one am very very sad that we were manipulated in such a contrived way.
So ,if the foremat remained the same and we had another BB like this years.
No I would not miss it at all.
But I would miss the discussions and chat that welcomed me to this forum, I have met some really interesting , friendly and honest people here, so I must say that for this reason I have to thank BB.

I just really hope they go ahead with the next ones and start accepting applications as I'd love to be on it.

It is a load of rubbish and you could just set up cameras in your own home and watch yourself.
Would be better than big brother.
It's come to it's end.

As much as BB disappointed me this year, I think I would miss it if it didn't return.
I think we all expect to be wowed as were in the ealy years, but in reality it is now an old concept and we have seen it all its probably not the show makers fault that we are so hard to impress.
I wouldn't mind there being another series, but i can't say I'd be glued to it EVERY night.

I cant say I enjoy BB that much but when its on its nice just to have something to stick on every night.
Think if they bring it back next year they are going to have to shake it up a bit, this year i didnt really care about the outcome or anything that happened in the house

I know lol, I'd probably go in trying to act all macho and stuff at first - that woudn't last long though as first sign of a spider and I'd *SCREA * (not acting or anything, that's just what I do when I see a spider lol)...
It'd be funny as you never know what the public are going to think of a housemate - but if I were to get boo'ed I'd probably take it bad

I would come and cheer when you leave, it would be funny watching you scream over a spider though, sorry I am being wicked.

Lol nah I think ost people find it entertaining (including myself once I have a chance to calm down lol!) I don't know what it is about spiders, I'm terrified with the sight of them and if they're close to me when I first spot them I go into panic mode lol...
...I remember a couple of months ago, there was a massive one crawling along the wall, I was upto about half 4 in the morning trying to get rid of it !!

Spiders do not bother me, but my daughter hated them and my young person hates them she will not go to sleep either, if we cannot find a spider she has seen we have to pretend to catch it and throw it out or she would not go to bed.
I shouldn't laugh really as I am the same with wasps and bees but I have got a bit better.
