Broncos' Marshall in trouble again... - SignOnSanDiego Forums
NFL Looking into Arrest of Broncos' Marshall
DENVER (AP) -- The NFL is looking into the March 6 arrest of Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall on a misdemeanor battery charge for allegedly hitting his girlfriend.
NFL spokesman Greg Aiello confirmed the inquiry Wednesday but declined to comment further.
Fulton County, Ga., authorities say no formal charges have been filed.
Marshall's lawyer was in a meeting and unable to comment.
The arrest was reported in Wednesday's editions of The Denver Post.
Marshall's girlfriend filed an affidavit in Fulton County claiming Marshall hit her in the mouth and eye on March 4.
Marshall, who owns homes in Denver and Atlanta, was released on a $1,000 bond.
Separately, Marshall is scheduled for trial in September on a DUI charge stemming from an October 2007 arrest in Denver.
He was arrested in March 2007 on a false imprisonment charge after allegedly blocking a woman who was trying to leave his home in Colorado.
The charge was dismissed after he completed anger-management classes.

Another turd draft pick by the Broncos.
If I remember correctly not only was he arrested for false imprisonment and domestic violence, but I think there was also an incident at the airport with his girlfriend but either the charges were dropped or no charges were filed.
If anybody believes he really slipped on a McDonaldÂ’s wrapper and "accidently" put his arm through a glass entertainment center while goofing around with his brother, then I have some beach front property in Wyoming to sell you.
Dude has all the talent in the world but it sounds like he has some serious control and anger issues.

Taking off my homer glasses and viewing this purely from a business perspective...
This guy needs to be suspended.
DUI, alleged battery, and alleged false imprisonment.
I'll give him that he hasn't been convicted of anything but sorry, people don't just usually walk into this kind of trouble - they create it.
How long would any of us last at our jobs if involved in these situations over the course of one year?
Hell, if he was a Charger, I'd still think he should be suspended.

It's old news. Really, I don't know why it made its way back into the mainstream when it happened March 6th.
Regardless, as good as I think Marshall is/can be, there's just no way he's not impacted by, "the hamburger wrapper" incident.
Hate the donks.

I'll be a flight to Denver as soon as I can.
Might even bring my badge this time.
Might not.

The following conversation is secretly recorded and brought to you by SPYGATE -The proud sponsor of New England Patriots
The Rat: Now tell me, which hand did you hit your girlfriend with?
Marshall: umm...this one (raise his hand).
The Rat: Why the F...
Did you hit her with that arm?...you..bastard..you could re-injuried again.
I don't give a sh..
About your problem, all I need from you is your commitment to the team.
Marshall: Sorry coach.
By the way, the "hamburger slip" was lame but I stick to it as you told me to...
The Rat: Get your sorry a.s.s out of my office.
You don't want to be my scapegoat for another failure season.
Do you understand me?
Marshall: Yea, but ..but..but..but..the division is ours...
The Rat: STFU and get the F..out of here now..

Quote: : So much for Jay Cutler's moment of team leadership glory.
I guess Brandon Marshall wasn't listening to the NFL's next Golden Boy afterall.
Let's see, he's been charged with a DUI and now has a misdemeanor arrest on his record.
Guess that makes him a "MULTIPLE FELON" now, right?
Seriously though, great point about Cutler.
Amazing that the media is still all over this guys jock.
Even when he crashes and burns again this year he's already got a built in excuse with the whole diabetes thing.
Not to make light of that but still....

Yeah, I'm sure Cutler will collapse and the media will dismiss it as a diabetes thing.
Or, better yet, they will hang The Rat out to dry, and declare the next Donkeys HC the savior of Cutler.
Personally, I think the one QB everyone is slobbering over that will crash and burn is Eli Manning.
Did you read that article on ShEli in Lindy's?
All that praise made me want to puke.
ShEli got s lucky in the Super Bowl.
ShEli made several reckless passes, but either got saved by WRs like Tyree, or the Patsies dropped easy picks.
ShEli had a ton of luck in that game.
I think Manning is going to regress big time this year.
Just watch how fast the media starts trashing Manning again.
Thus proving the national media are a bunch of frontrunners.

I hope you're right.
If so, it'll be a blast to watch!

I know, it is too fishy for me.
Marshall already admitted that he lied about slipping on a wrapper:
Broncos' Brandon Marshall Admits McDonald's Wrapper Did Not Cause Arm Injury
Posted Mar 24th 2008 7:32PM by Michael David Smith
Yesterday I noted a report from Adam Schefter of NFL Network that said Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall had suffered an arm injury after he slipped on a McDonald's wrapper and put his hand through a TV screen.
And I expressed skepticism about that report, because it just sounded too weird, and because athletes don't have a great track record for truthfulness about off-field injuries.
Well, today, Schefter is reporting that Marshall has admitted that the injury was not, in fact, caused by a slip on a McDonald's wrapper.
What Marshall actually says is that although the part about putting his arm through the TV is true, he actually did it in an accident while wrestling with family members.
It's not clear why Marshall would lie about it, but it is clear that this is a serious injury: Schefter reports that Marshall severed an artery and a vein, damaged a nerve in his right forearm and cut tendons to five muscles.
He needed surgery to have his tendons and artery sutured back together and it will be three months before he has recovered.
The injury isn't likely to jeopardize Marshall's season: He should be completely healed by the start of training camp in July.
But it's going to be a long, painful recovery.
I'm guessing that was the last wrestling match of Marshall's life.
