Groups Struggle to Clean Up Mess Illegal Immigrants Leave Behind - Review-Journal eForum
The latest battle in the war on illegal immigration isn't over the smuggling of undocumented workers, it's over the trash they leave behind.
Government officials and border activists say the garbage dumped in the desert by illegal immigrants and their smugglers is staggering.
And the cleanup is costing taxpayers millions.

You ever been in the open desert around Las Vegas?
This is light weight stuff.
No refrigerators, old cars, commodes or busted concrete.
Clean that up with a shovel.
In Vegas you need a bucket loader.

You see only one small portion in this picture -
It is an envirornmental disaster down there -

Ever see travel pictures of quaint Mexican villages where women are washing clothes in a stream and drying those clothes on surrounding bushes and rocks.
Now look closely at the "wash" those clothes are strewn about.
Could be they were only wanting to enter here illegally with clean clothes.
Or maybe that really isn't from illegals.
It might be Haverman's wardrobe, he did say he lives under a bridge.
Do cows have lots of clothes?

And I suspect a vastly bigger problem than the one you refer too.
But not as appealing to some right wing special interest groups.

You should check out the freeway on between Las Vegas and the landfill.
The trash trucks lose so much trash that I am surprised they get away with it.
I hate litter. We should hire somebody to clean up the mess.
Anybody care to fill out a job application?
Any takers? Se Habla EspaƱol.

The picture of the illegals garbage basically shows nothing, like used kotex pads all over the place along with feces, garbage sacks, used diapers, many beer cans, booze bottles, everything you can think of is there, most is not biodegradable.
I have seen videos from the minutemen and a few other sites, that oppose illegals being here, I assure you they are disgusting and vile.
As for Lone mountain and the garbage you state is there, I would like to see that and take pictures, could you give me directions on how to get there?
Thank you.
BTW Jim, good to see you back, you have been missed.

Read the report with the article.
Turns out part of the garbage involved is described as "urban fringe refuse".
You think the illegals hauled that all the way from Mexico?
Lone Mountain clean up pics are likely available from the Office of Larry Brown who sponsored the big clean up last year.

Urban fringe refuse would also include things like old tv sets and furniture.
Oh and the usual construction debris as well.
Landscape trimmings and so on.
I don't see any of that in greatdays picture.

There was old cars and washer and dryers in the desert since I have moved here.
I covered alot of territory riding my horses for many years all over Las Vegas and surronding areas.
As more and more people moved here of course there were a few more home appliances dumped in the desert, however I never saw anything close to what GD's picture depicts or the other pictures and video's I have seen.
There are tents communities set up out in the desert, mainly in Arizona, as holding housing for the illegals and the video's I saw of how the illegals choose to live with their children including infants is mind boggling.
Illegals can choose to live as clean as possible or in disgustingly foul filth, no matter if the live in a tent or a mansion.
Apparently the illegals chose the latter because they leave that disgusting filth behind.
