History Channel: 4100 Dead For Big Oil ...

Paul Wolfowitz once said there was so much oil in Iraq that "When it comes to reconstruction, before we turn to the American taxpayer, we will turn first to the resources of the Iraqi government." Former Sec.

Of State Colin Powell said that the oil would be held "in trust for the Iraqi people". 4100 brave Americans died to uphold those words, in addition to dying for WMD's and Saddam's supposed links to Al-Qaeda and 9/11. But now, 4100 have also died so that the CEO of Halliburton, Dave Lesar, could move from Texas to Dubai.

4100 brave Ameicans died so Blackwater, and its Bush cronies who run it, could charge over one billion for its work in Iraq. While wounded Americans were in putrid conditions at Walter Redd, KBR was avoiding paying taxes and social security by using shell companies in the Grand Cayman. Now it's Big Oil's turn to put out its hand and take from the souls of 4100 dead Americans and 30,000 wounded.

Nothing like free enterprise at the expense of American soldiers' lives, all 4100 of them. -- "All the great things are simple and many can be expressed in a single word: freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, hope.

Winston Churchill

The business of America is business, and today it is the oil business. This administration has been very kind to the oil industry.

Aren't those oil conatracts worth 41oo American lives? -- I am not a Democrat.

I am not a Republican.

I am an American!

Well if it's only for big oil, there is a lot of Democrats and Republicans that lied and voted for a war that only helps big oil and big corporations.

If you people believe that, I don't know why you haven't packed up and left this country.

Why would you want to stay if that's really what you believe? -- Beam me up Scottie, no intelligent life down here.

What an obscenity against the human spirit! -- The vile incompetence of the Bush Administration mocks and subverts our very system of government.

It is a testament to the enduring strength of our nation that we survive. -- Edited by Isgeorgealfredeneuman?

450,000 American Military dead and about 150 million civilians died for Oil about 65 years ago.

Why not start with the biggest war for oil and work your way down Mata?

Japan attacked the US because FDR wanted them to in order to convince Americans to support the "real" war in Europe.

The way he did it was to place an embargo on Japanese oil supplies.

The war was about oil because oil was about national survival and still is.

The problem for the US is that democrats are trying to loose the war rather than win it.

Whitehall's revisionist take on the WWII oil embargo.

Of course, anyone with a brain knows that FDR stopped the oil because of Japan's war in China and FDR wanted them out.

But that doesn't stop a right winger from revisionism. -- I am not a Democrat.

I am not a Republican.

I am an American!

Here we have, whitehall, an ardant Bush apologist, admit the Iraq war is about oil after all. What happened to: War on terrorism Imminent threat to USA WMD's Saddam is a bad man Love of Iraqi people Bring an outpost of "democracy" to Middle East It turns out these items are all just forms of purest baloney fed to the American people to get them to support a bloody war for "Big Oil." How disgraceful.

Bush and all his apologists should weep for what they have wrought.

Better yet, like all instinctive reptiles, they should know enough to crawl back under the rocks from whence they came. -- The vile incompetence of the Bush Administration mocks and subverts our very system of government.

It is a testament to the enduring strength of our nation that we survive.

Well Bush couldn't do it without Congress voting on it.

If it was all a big lie, these last two administrations, CIA and Congress lied to us all. -- Beam me up Scottie, no intelligent life down here.

How low can you go.

Using Americans that died in a war their government (Dems and Reps both) voted for to further your anti-Bush hatred is despicable.

Look it up newman.

A bi partisan congressional committee asked the President to use US combat Troops in Iraq in order to enforce UN sanctions and stop Housein's genocide.

Nobody mentioned oil until liberals brought up the issue to try to camoflage the incredible decision by democrats to punish Americans for their consumption.

It's amazing that socialist libbies think they can blame corporations and capitalism rather than the jihad.

It should be noted that Harry Truman also used US Troops to enforce a UN request but he didn't ask congress for permission.

Bill Clinton used the US Military to stop the genocide in Yugoslavia but he didn't consult congress either.

Oil does insure National survival today just as it did for the last hundred years but democrats seem confused about the concept.

Somehow the inept education system has convinced a vocal but ignorant faction of Americans that life was better when we were sitting around campfires.

Given the Hunt Oil revelations concerning the contract with Kurdistan in opposition to US policy and the Bush's administration's knowledge of the contract, is it any wonder? -- "All the great things are simple and many can be expressed in a single word: freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, hope.

Winston Churchill

The real question is, is it any wonder you are spouting nonsense and attakcing the administration for nothing. YOu misrepresented that Bush personally had a hand in it though the Congressional investigation found no such thing. You attacked the administration for not stopping it though they legally have no authority to stop it.

No laws were violated yet you call it traitorous.

You need serious mental help.

I appreciate your concern for my health, Scipio.

Thank you. And have a great fourth. -- "All the great things are simple and many can be expressed in a single word: freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, hope.

Winston Churchill
