Twin tots survive fall from window - AsianFanatics Forum

Source: Reuters Toddler twin boys miraculously survived a 16-foot-plunge from a first floor window with just bruises. The 21-month-old boys Rolf and Harold Kappel had climbed onto a nappy changing table and rolled out of an open window in Blumenau, Austria. Paramedics say they survived because rain the night before had softened the lawn they had fallen onto. A spokesman for the paramedics said: "It seems that their mother turned away for a few seconds and they climbed up onto the table and slipped out of the window. "When she called us she thought they must be dead but instead they just stood up and started wandering around. "The lawn underneath the window was pretty much sodden because of all the recent rain and it acted like a sponge soaking up the fall. "The boys had some bruises on their backs and bums where they landed but other than that they are OK. "We have all been complaining about the appalling rain here for the last two weeks but these kids are still alive because of it."

Oh wow. That's amazing that they survived! Thank God for the rain.
